To qualify for the Ultra Marathon, you should have completed any officially timed and measured marathon or longer distance, after 1 July 2023. The qualifying time for a standard marathon distance is 5 hours. For qualifying times for distances greater than a standard marathon, please email us at [email protected].
Please note that the Two Oceans Marathon Race Office will conduct spot checks to verify the submitted qualifier information.
For the Half Marathon, seeding is determined by your qualifying times, which helps position faster runners at the front and slower runners further back.
We strongly advise providing a seeding time. Otherwise, you will be placed at the back for the start.
Seeding is based on your performance in a previous 10km, 15km, or 21.1km run after 1 July 2023.
For a successful Half Marathon event, we recommend training for and achieving at least a 3h15 Half Marathon time.
The Two Oceans Race Office will be conducting spot checks to verify the submitted qualifier information, which will be used for seeding purposes. Prepare yourself for an incredible event!
