As we count down to the exciting race day, we are thrilled to unveil the Official Route for the 2023 Sanlam Cape Town Marathon. The modifications to the marathon route are designed to enhance your running experience, with a significant improvement in the overall race profile.

Notably, the challenging District Six hill has been removed, resulting in a total ascent reduction of 90m. This alteration ensures a flatter and faster route, creating the perfect conditions for achieving your personal best (PB).

Starting from Fritz Sonnenberg Road and finishing at Vlei Road, our signature blue carpet awaits you as you cross the finish line. Along the way, you’ll be cheered on by enthusiastic spectators in the grandstands and adjacent Hospitality areas.
