With over 80% of the 23,000 Comrades 2024 entries already gone and the entry process closing on Monday, December 11th, there is no time to waste!
CMA Race & Operations Manager Ann Ashworth is urging runners to get their entry in ASAP if they haven’t already. The current tally is nearing 19,000, with athletes from 72 countries gearing up for the 49th Comrades Up Run.
South Africa is leading the charge with a whopping 17,018 entries, with 13,386 gents and 3,632 ladies ready to tackle the course. The top three international entrants are Zimbabwe, India and the United Kingdom.

Comrades Entry Reminders
Entry fees remain the same as in 2023:

Entries close on 11 December 2023 or as soon as the entry cap of 23,000 is reached, whichever comes first. Those wishing to participate and travel with Africa Marathons are encouraged to get their entries in early to avoid disappointment.

The 97th Comrades Marathon will be an Up Run on Sunday, June 9th, 2024. The race will start at the Durban City Hall at 5:30 am and finish 12 hours later at the Hollywoodbets Scottsville Racecourse. The distance is approximately 87km.
