Cape Town Marathon 2023 is set to be the fastest event to date, and we want to help YOU stay in on the action, whether you’re out on course or tuning in from home. Luckily, wherever you’re watching from there’s a live stream throughout the day, tracking the front runners and helping you stay in the know as the race unfolds.
If you’re lucky enough to be watching live, the official team has you covered with this Spectators Guide. The ‘must make’ spot for us is Michael’s, popping up 15kms in ready to caffeinate our keen cheerers at just the right moment. If you want to get in on the ‘world first’, head to 28kms in to see the spectacle go through District 6 this year without the dreaded hill. We also recommend nipping to New York Bagels on Harrington Street for a quick bite of lunch to go.
Finally, it’s a sprint to Green Point for the finish, and we’ve got just the hidden gem to help you refuel. Whilst it may not ‘look’ like much The Greek Club Restaurant on Bay Road is one to book. From experience, it’s one of the best meals you’ll have and for a fraction of the price you’d expect upon tasting!
Don’t let the FOMO get you down. Lucky for you there’s a live stream all day helping you to stay in on the action from start to finish. If you are in South Africa you can watch all the action live on SuperSport Variety Chanel 4 and KFM 94.5 radio starting from 6:00 am local time (GMT +2).
You can also follow live updates on the official Cape Town Marathon Facebook page.
