Mark your calendars! The Lewa Safari Marathon is set for Saturday, June 28th, 2025.
Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the Lewa Safari Marathon is a joint effort between Tusk and the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, continuing a legacy of supporting Kenyan communities, wildlife, and vital projects. The race, offering both full and half marathon distances, unfolds within the stunning Lewa Wildlife Conservancy. Runners will traverse diverse landscapes, from open savannahs and riverbanks to acacia woodlands, sharing the course with some of Africa's most famous animals, including the Big Five.
The Lewa Safari Marathon is known to be a demanding, yet incredibly fulfilling race. It presents a unique opportunity to run amongst African Wildlife. The course is set against the backdrop of northern Kenya.
The event's impact goes far beyond the personal accomplishment of each runner. For over two decades, the Lewa Safari Marathon has been a vital fundraising force for conservation efforts throughout Kenya. Every participant contributes directly to supporting local communities and helping to protect Africa's threatened wildlife.
The 25th Lewa Safari Marathon will take place on June 28th, 2025, benefiting wildlife conservation and community initiatives in Kenya and across borders. Registration details will be available shortly; please reach out for further information.
If you're not quite ready for the full 42.2km marathon, there is a 21.2km half marathon, the Executive 10km race and the Children’s 5km Race so the whole family to join in.

It’s like we build up to @totalsportstwooceansmarathon , execute an incredible trip and then BAM, Comrades is a matter of weeks away. The prep is officially in peak across race and run and we cannot wait to return for another down year even if the distance is the longest it’s ever been.
